Hi, I'm Kristen:
art therapist, maker, mother,
listener, light-seeker, storyteller,
& nature enthusiast
I grew up in rural Minnesota with a fierce love for nature & artmaking. Now, in addition to being an art therapist, I also make some sweet stuff which I occasionally sell locally & online.
I welcome wholesale opportunities & commissions, as well as inquiries about art sessions.
upcycled & handmade

Eleven Trees Artistry specializes in creating Anthology Photo Frames, which are beautiful antique and vintage books
transformed into one-of-a-kind picture frames.
First, gorgeous old books are rescued from the dusty shelves of forgotten places. They are then freshened up, precisely cut, and adorned with plexiglass and turn buttons. In this unique process, the book pages remain fully intact for reading, while the cover functions as the picture frame. The frames are designed to creatively display precious memories, and can be hung on a wall or set on a surface.
Sometimes, the book's title makes the book frame exceptional...sometimes it's the vintage colors or details on the cover...and sometimes, it's a book on a certain subject that would be *perfect* for someone special. No two books are alike, and thus no two book frames are alike.

I also specialize in hand-poured essential oil soy candles!

Contact me if you would like to learn more about how I can bring the magic of process art, intuitive art, and/or nature based artmaking to you, your setting, or your event.

“It’s not just about creativity, it’s about the person you’re becoming while you’re creating” - Charlie Peacock
some principles of my practice:
-
You cannot make art wrong
-
You do not have to feel like a “good” artist; no experience or skill necessary
-
Art does NOT have to be pretty or attractive or approved by anyone
-
How you’re making it is just as important as what you’re making
-
Sometimes art is messy and sometimes it feels terrible
-
Trust yourself and trust the process
-
Frustration, failure, doubt, mistakes, taking breaks, and starting over might all happen, and they’re all okay
